Please Help!!

I have Windows Xp Home Edition and i have EZ Trust Anti-Virus and ZoneAlarm Firewall. The problem is after i downloaded this game i opened the only file there but the installation wizard wouldnt start. My cursor would have the hourglass symbol for like 1 second and then it would go back to normal. Here is another forum with some guy who has pretty much the same problem as me: http://www.steelguitarforum.com/Foru...ML/001404.html Please Reply!

-Edit- I dont know if this might help solve the problem, but the installation program was a Installshield (R) Setup Launcher

hi person
first things first. Have you tried disabling firewall and AV software. If the game installation setup requires an internet connection these could be your culprits. Zonealarm (but not just ZA) is sometimes implicated.

The other thing is, are you able to run other installation/setups??

which is why everyone should have an error and solutions diary!! What MOBO and HDD do you have? Is any of those recent additions or upgrades?

you have a memory problem. 128 is barely enough to run xp..let alone a game download. I m sure this is the source of your problem. Min 256 to run xp!!

First of all check the file size at site from where you have downloaded it and compare it with the one on the hard drive. Don't compare the MB's but the total number of exact bytes. Also check whether some sort of checksum is provided on the site. Some times files get corrupted during the download process. A loss of even a single byte sometimes renders the setup unusable. If it is so then the only option is to redownload it.
