Quick lauch bar

I'm running WinXP Sp1.

I recently changed the order and added a few new shortcuts to my quick lauch bar in the task bar. The problem is, each time I reboot or restart my pc the quick lauch bar reverts back to it's previous order. The new shortcuts remain and the ones I deleted stay deleted, but the order goes right back to the previous way it looked. This really bugs me because I only keep the programs I use more often visible in the quick lauch bar, while the rest of them I hit the arrow/extend icon to view.

I don't remember exactly when this started happening, but I've recently installed Mozilla Thunderbird, Firefox, and Ventrilo (a voice chat program). All of which I added to the quick launch bar. I also installed the TweakUI powere toy from Microsoft, but I think the problem existed before that.

I'm at a lose. Any ideas on how to keep the same order in my quick launch bar after rebooting/restarting?

Thank you in advance!!!!!!

The symptoms you describe can be caused by trying to disable Internet Explorer (or some of its components) in TweakUI. If you can remember the changes you made in TweakUI, go back and undo them one by one to see if the problem is corrected.

You can also download and try Taskbar Repair Tool Plus!. The free version may have what you need but, if not, the registered version only costs $5.

Thanks Miz, I downloaded the Taskbar repair tool and it worked like a charm. As far as Tweak UI goes, the only thing I messed with in there was the Autoplay settings. Weird?

Thanks again!!!!!
