Exclamation Unable to display chinese characters

I have Windows XP Professional installed and am using Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0. When I tried to encode Chinese from the View menu bar, I was prompted to obtain some files from Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD. I downloaded service pack 1 from the website and tried again but still no luck.

Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

From where I can check "Install files for East Asian languages"?
What does CP stand for? I have the Microsoft Office XP Professional CD but unable to locate the files listed above. Please clarify... thanks!

install east asian language

To install East Asian language files on your computer
You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing this procedure.

Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
On the Languages tab, under Supplemental language support, select the Install files for East Asian languages check box.
Click OK or Apply.
You will prompted to insert the Windows CD-ROM or point to a network location where the files are located.

After the files are installed, you must restart your computer.

CP = control panel
