Firewire and security updates?
Hi,
Have got Avid Xpress Dv running on Windows XP pro. Have been digitising with a SONY PD100 DV cam. Worked fine for 24 hours, recognised it automatically via plug n play, but now its not working at all, and just says NO DECK and no video signal present, and no amount of restarting can fix it. I'm not sure its an avid problem, because when I first plugged it in via firewire the computer recognised it on start-up. But it no longer does. The only thing that might have changed with the system is a few Windows updates, which seem to cause more damage than good, and might have disabled/corrupted the firewire hub. Or maybe I'm clutching at straws?
