need help getting xp pro and home to "Talk" on lan

both on the same hub, both on internet.

both have the microsoft firewall disabled and filesharing activated.

is there anything i need to do to get them to see each other?

Have you run through Network Setup Wizard in the Control Panel on both computers?

Both must have the exact same thing entered in Workgroup and each must have a unique name entered in Computer Name.

Indicate specific folders or drives to be shared by right clicking on the file, folder or drive you want to share, going to Sharing and Security and checking "Share this folder." You can name it anything you like in "Share Name." That the name the other computer will see in its Windows Explorer.
