16 Bit Subsystem Error

I'm running off XP SP2. I've been trying to install an old Windows 95 program--Microsoft 3D Movie Maker. I don't think that's too important. However, when I tried to run the setup.exe from the CD I got the error . . .

Quote:
config.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Chose "Close" to terminate the application.

Then, I read up on a way to fix that problem online. I basically used a DOS Window command--EXPAND, I think it was--to add the config.nt file off my Windows disk to command.com in the system32 folder. Not really understand what the hell that did. But anyway, it didn't work, I just get a different error when I try to run the installer now. The error . . . .

I've read around and found no easy fix for this problem.

I was hoping for a much less drastic solution. I don't have access to a '95 disk. I'm sure there's another solution to the problem because what's happening with me seems to be just with me. There's a healthy online following of 3D Movie Maker and they all seem to be running it well off XP without any problems. They have no solution to my problem either.

Hopefully you will find a resolution browsing these links: -
