You know, I have a nasty habit of joining a forum without ever reading the rules. I usually just click on accept because I plan to be polite and don't want to sell anything.
Let review:
I've got two drives. I can not span em because the "Home Edition" won't let you do that. You gotta get "Professional" if you want to span your drives.
So I format two separate volumes only to find out that the "System Administrator" can't delete folders on the second volume. Oh Nirvana!
So considering that I have not read the forum rules, am I allowed to say "MICROSOFT SUCKS!!!!".
Fortunately, my motherboard has a built in HighPoint Raid controller with JBOD capabilities. I'll try to set up JBOD. Since this is a new install, I really won't be losing anything by starting over. Hopefully, the Windows XP goofiness will se my JBOD as one big partition and assign the access privs globally onto it.
But who knows maybe I'm asking too much of 200 freakin dollar operating system. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I didn't have to pay the huge sum of $0 for a much superior OS like Linux.
