WindowsXP DIVX/PowerDVD

I have Windows XP which is all upto date and the latest DIVX bundle / Power DVD.

The problem I have it they keep shutting down at various times of playing a film / film clip?

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem or knows of a fix.
