My HD is split into D: and C: and i cant reinstall Winxp cus C: is 8mb.

My HD is split somehow into C and D and win setup trys to install to C: drive but that drive is only 8mb. I cant remove it, i cant change drive letters nor make windows install to D:

Has anyone had this problem ?

Have you recently re-partitioned and formatted the drive?

There are two ways to repartition. Either buy the software that can repartion without destroying the data on the drive...like Partition Magic by Power Quest or Partition Commander by VCom...and use it to repartition the drive....or....

...boot with the XP Cd in the CD drive and use its partitioning utility to first remove all existing partitions and then repartion however you want. This method will destroy all data on the drive.

Nope, i have not.. But this has been like this since i last formated my hd.

dont know why or how the hd was split.

I couldnt boot from CD, im downloading a free trial of that program from power quest. Hope thats enough.
