I can't read/open .htm files....why?

Hi, whenever I click on an .htm or any file with .htm, an error message pops up saying that Windows has encountered a problem. Here's what it said when I click more information:

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2600.0 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2600.0 Offset: 001a23a3

I still have SP1. Anyone help me? Thanks.
