Please help me!

Hi! I'm new here~

I have a problem: When I enter Windows XP, I want to hear a song that's 1 minute long, but I can only hear 30 seconds of it! After 30 seconds, the songs ends, but I don't know why since it is 1 minute long.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. ^^

P.D: My XP version is Home Edition...

The system sounds, including the startup wav file, are played by Sound Recorder. While Sound Recorder used to play whatever was thrown at it, newer versions (starting with Win98 SE, I think) have a 30-second time limit. While there is a rather involved way to get around that limitation in order to use Sound Recorder to record longer wav files, I don't know of any way to get around it to play a sound file longer than 30 seconds.
