Windows XP --> Windows 2000 server login problem

Greetings all.

I am having a problem with my XP computers logging into a windows 2000 server domain. I have tried every solution I have been able to find on the internet to no avail.
The problem is that the Win XP machines take an average of 5 minutes to log into windows.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have exhausted all my resources try to fix this problem.

Hi,
Ive had this problem a couple of times with a couple of different reasons. Firstly check norton internet security isnt installed and active (can sometimes come pre-installed) also check if the XP Firewall is enabled or some other such as zonealarm these will try to stop the login requests from getting to the server. Another problem i saw was LARGE roaming profiles another possibiblity?
