WinXP install and RAID 0 question

I am trying to reinstall a fresh OS on a RAID striped 0 system. I want to delete and recreate the partition windows is on. However at the XP install screen I only see one drive and it is not the drive my current system is setup on. If I install to that drive it goes in fine but I only see the one drive in windows. If I reboot the machine the system will boot up to the original windows install on the drive I could not see before. It's like the windows install ignores the RAID array seeing only one of the 2 identicle drives and it happens to be the wrong one!
I have files on the second drive I need to keep so I can't delete the array and recreate it. Do I need to install 3rd party raid drivers for windows to see both drives? I did not have to do this with my original install tho. I assumed the default windows drivers would post both drives as it seemed to with the original install.
Thx guys!

None of the desktop OS (NT4W, 2K or XP) support any form of RAID. You'd have to run NT4Server or 2K Server setup to be able to trash the volume.

Good luck

A Possible Solution

Hi,
Enter in BIOS (by pressing Del or F2 or F10 or Whatever) and create a fresh RAID array from there (it will be under SATA configuration option) after you have configured a new array, prompt for over writing the existing volume. After you are through, keep an array driver floppy ready and start loading XP, press F6 and insert the floppy.
BOL
but do know that in the striped array or any RAID array for that matter, you are supposed to see just one volume.
Also let me know if it worked or not
