Windows problem or VIRUS ?

hello experts,

I have a problem with my windows xp. Once i login and the taskbar loads, some icon will appear at the task bar stating "Could not reconnect all network drives" and then my explorer.exe shuts down leaving me with just the background of the desktop. No icons no taskbar. After a few minutes, explorer loads again, and exit again, this repeats.

I'm pretty sure there's no network drives ..... I'm baffled.

Pls help.
Stewart

If you can, try right clicking My Computer on the desktop and selecting Disconnect Network Drive. Do this in Safe Mode if you cannot boot to the desktop in the normal manner.
