Is XP Pro a good choice for a dual processor O/S

I have been using XP Pro for several years now. Have had no problems to speak of with it. Now building a new system with dual processors and wondering how well does XP Pro utilize dual processors? Would it be better to go with a one processor mobo? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Windows systems that support dual processors are Windows XP Pro (not Home), Windows NT 4, Windows 2000 Pro and Windows 2003 server.

Of those four, I recommend XP Pro.

XP Pro

Thanks Miz for the info. I should have stated earlier that the system will be used for work and play. I use CAD programs and on my off time, serious top end gaming. I cannot find much info on how well XP maximizes two processors. Would having two processors, in effect, double the speed, using XP Pro? Would it on any two processor machine?

Thanks for the help,
