Angry Homepage changes

My homepage changes without asking my permission. C'mon, it's my computer. I want Yahoo.sbc to do my browsing so I typed the appropriate address in the appropriate window, but a greater power decides Owensbysearch or some other off the wall browser will undertake those responsibilities. Do I have to install a program or does win xp have a solution.
Thanx, in advance. GS Joe

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html

http://www.pandasoftware.com/actives..._principal.htm

the first link is a good, safe spyware scanner and remover, make sure to check for updates and download any refference file it offers.
the second is cw shredder for removing spyware that is a pain to get rid of. this link posted by JAZZ on another thread.
last panda active scan, double check and make sure you have no viruses. no on-board virus scan is fool-proof .

Do you know how to set a new "Home Page"? Go to the web site you want to be your home page, "Yahoo.sbc" for example. Right click on the address, drag to the "Home" icon and release. This will reset your home page to Yahoo.sbc or whatever you choose.
