Reformat: Windows XP HOME
Jeez... spent 5 hours trying to work on the stupid thing. Well... I get into my BIOS and set my boot up device to my CD ROM. Well it reads it, all is fine and dandy... Windows starts "settin" up. I cannot choose to go to Windows XP Home option (option one)... I am forced to go to Setup everytime (option 2). ANYWAYS.. When I get in there and I go to try to delete the partition that Windows XP is on.. it says... "unable to delete partition due to the fact that there are temporary files on this partition that are needed to setup Windows" GOD... so I can're format it cause of that. Well, I go through some process, and I forget how I did it... anyways... I got to a command prompt and I typed format c:... it asks if I want to.. I say... "Yes".. and then goes back to the C:\Windows thing and doesn't do anything.
Basically what I am asking is.. how do I go about deleting this partition even when it won't let me because of these (temporary setup files Windows needs to be setup)..
Thanks,
Mark
