office 2003 installation starts when i run acrobat reader

Today i turn on my pc and run an acrobat document. while the about screen of acrobat 6 appears, the msi installer starts to install the office 2003. I have to click cancel on this new window several times to stop it.

(Ps: i have already installed office 2003 sp1 on my pc)

Assuming that you had already installed Acrobat Reader when you installed Office 2003....try uninstalling Acrobat then re-installing it. I have no good logic for that other than past experience with that type of problem.

I recently had a call from someone reporting something very
similiar to what you are reporting.

Each time the user attempt to open any pdf file the system will
prompt them to install office 2003.

The solution to this person issue was the removal of this
software called Windows Journal Viewer. Stange enough I had
this person remove this program and the pop up screen referencing the installation of office 2003 stopped.

I can't say for sure, if this could be the cause of your issue or not.
If you do have this Windows Journal Viewer running on your system it might possibly be the problem. Just a thought...

These are the instructions on how to remove it from your pc.

Click on Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs
Locate the Windows Journal Viewer and click on Remove
Follow the on screen instructions and then restart the computer
This should resolve the issue.

thanks for help, but i don't see a program called window journal viewer installed, and i never had the need of this.

I have to try to re install the acrobat.
