Copying files from Temp. Internet Folder ??!!

Hi,

I want to copy certain files from Temperory Internet Folder.. but when i try copying the files from Temp Internet folder to another folder, [1] gets attached to the file name..

e.g., filename[1].ext

is there way to copy the file (filename) as is, without the [1] attached to it ?!!??!!

This is by design

you have some choices

you can rename the files

you can right click the file click open in new window and then right click the image and click save as

If there are alot your trying to move at one time you might want to download a file renaming utility

You can install a program like cacheX that will allow you view copy move your temporary internet files in a treeview broken down by site and then by content.

Windows will not duplicate file names but still trys to preserve as much of the name as possible. What is happening is that where you want to copy the file name TO, already has the same file name - so windows adds a [1] to it . You maybe trying to inadvertantly copy the file to the same temp folder [ ie duplicating it ].
