XP Picture and Fax Viewer

I have a Dell P4 2.80 processor, XP Home Ed. Version 5.1.2600. I unistalled the Dell Picture Studio/Paint Shop program, cuz I hate it. I use Photoshop. Then I installed a Lexmark X1185 3/1 scanner and its software. Now the lexmark panel is the only way I can scan/copy/print. I hate it too! How the heck can I regain Windows as my default viewer for controling the scan function??
It used to work that way. Make any sense? HELP! Thanx

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Uninstall the Lexmark Application > Reboot > Install the Lexmark application but only choose the TWAIN Option and/or Scanner Driver.
