msn toolbar messing up internet explorer

Hey all

First off, I'm no noob when it comes to computers, but let's get this started:

Ok so about a month ago, my sister dropped by my house using my computer while I wasn't at home.
She did some online banking stuff and, unfortunately, kicked on MSN to talk with a few friends of her.

When I came back home, she was gone. I popped internet explorer and lo and behold, and MSN Toolbar

Being the brainless internet user that she is, she had apparantly clicked yes to everything she saw while starting up MSN and voila.

Ok no biggie I thought, I uninstalled, rebooted and it was gone.

Not much later, I opened up Outlook Express, and here comes the problem, Outlook Express (6) takes about a minute to start up. What happens exactly is I get the 'splash screen' for around a minute, then the program loads without a problem.
I never had any problem like this until that MSN Toolbar.

I've ran adaware and many alternatives. I've ran register cleanup programs as I figured it may have been some registry references left behind etc. I've reinstalled the MSN Toolbar and then tried outlook express, to no avail. Then uninstalled MSN Toolbar again, no luck either.

I've searched google for about 30 minutes trying various queries but once again, to no avail.

So my hope is on somebody reading this, having a suggestion that may work or better yet, someone that has also experienced this and managed to fix it somehow.

Thanks for your time!

When you install MSN Messenger it asks if you want it to be your defalt messenger

After uninstalling you need to reenable windows messenger
(even though it may still be running but not enabled)
Outlook express works with windows messenger to check if your contacts are online. This could be slowing your startup
