Question Task Manager in XP

Can anyone help me out? My login is set as administrator, but I receive a message "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator" when I press CTL+ALT+DEL?? There is one other account set up on this machine, also with administrator rights, and that account can call up the Task Manager without an error.

How do I fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!

i read this thread, and had a look at the task manager to see for myself what its all about.

i noticed that about every 20 secs or so the cpu usage shoots up to 63 or so,then goes back down to 7 or8... till 20 secs or so has gone by and wham.. up to 63 again.

is this normal or is something going on i should worry about

?

Radspanner, how does your issue relate to the original issue of "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator"?? The link bbeard67 sent me worked to fix my issue.

in as much as being a bit of a novice i had never had a look at the task manager before,so when i saw it in this thread, out of curiosity i had a look at it.

while looking, i noticed the sudden surges every 20 sec or so..and not being that clued up with pc's.. i didnt know whether what i was looking at was ok or not.. hence my question....
