Duplicate Windows XP Home Edition

Since the first install would not work, I installed XP twice. The second version does work, but on every start up I have to choose between them.

Is there any way to remove the incorrect working copy?

To remove having to choose operating systems on every boot, go to Control Panel>System>Advanced tab>Startup and Recovery section>Settings button.

In the drop-down list at the top under "Default operating system," click on the one you want to appear on startup. Click OK. That should do it.
