Folder Sharing Properties

I'm networking 3 computers at home - all running XP Pro. I've used the setup "wizards" and can see each computer from the other (via Network Places). My problem is I can't share a folder on the c:\ drive from one computer. When I right-click the folder, I get a shortcut menu with "Sharing and Security" and "Properties" menu items (both enabled). When I select either of these, nothing happens --- no dialog box or error message. I'm logged in as the administrator and I've disabled the XP firewall (though I use Norton's firewall and it appears to be configured correctly). I am able to access the properties for the drive but it's already flagged as shared. Any thoughts on what's happening? Thanks, Paul

A few things to check
Make sure all of your PCs are in the same workgroup. In XP, worgroups are case sensitive. So make them all UPPERCASE if you have non-XP PCs. Make sure netbios over TCP/IP is enabled on all clients and make sure that the TCP/IP Nebios helper service is running (on XP). Make sure the browser service is running (XP).

The TCP/ICP NetBIOS Helper starts automatically but I could not find anything on the "browser" service - does this go by another name?

Found a solution that worked for me. I uninstalled Internet Information Services (IIS) - now the Sharing and Security properties for the folders on the C drive are now accessible. Thanks for comments. Paul
