If i run recover from my Xp disc, will it sort out my browser problems?

If i run recover from my Xp disc, will it sort out my browser problems?

The other day my friend balls his p.c up, so i ran recover from his Xp disc and everthing returned to normal . No lost date files or anything!

I think i have a nasty in my browser that redirects me to about :blank all the time ,would recover a from the disc help?

Not sure what you mean. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Internet Options there you can set your home page. Is that what you meant? If it said about:blank before you changed it that should solve your problem.

does it open about:blank in a new window or the same one, is it on every website or the same one each time. Or is it your homeage .We need to know more before we can help you.
