windows xp sp2

Eversince i installed SP2, my modem keeps disconnecting whislt i am online.

How can i rectify this without having to uninstall SP2

The modem is a U S ROBOTICS 9000 ADSL MODEM

Check your settings in control panel under internet options > connection and look to see what the "idle time" is set to before disconnecting.
It may be to low and or you need to set it to "never disconnect"
