XP/screen resolution bootup problem
(windows XP home)
My friend's computer screen resolution was running at 800x600 and we thought it would be a good idea to change it to 720x1024. When we did, the screen went blank, as if the monitor or graphics card couldnt support it, and instead of changing back, the computer froze and my friend had to force reboot it. The problem is, is that it seems that windows has saved the changes, and when you boot it up, you get the black screen right at the very beginning with the 'press del for setup' on it, and then you get the windows XP loading screen (with the green scrolling bar), but when that has loaded, the screen just goes black and says "no signal". What can we do to get it back? Is there a way of forcing windows to run in safe mode or something so that we can change it?
