Cool Unknown and hidden virus? Give up?

On my laptop, Centrino, WXP Prof, I erased all known menaces with Spybot S&D. I got NAV 2004 to run, nothing left!
Still, applications are disappearing, not running, and, when connected to Internet through WIFI, it starts sending like crazy.

I ran NAV from CD, but obviously the register is too old. Don't konw further. A little help from you guys, pleeease?

Greetings,
frank

When you ran NAV, were you able to update it first? If not, it doesn't have all the latest definitions to find and eliminate viruses/trojans/worms that have come out since that CD was made. Conservative estimates put the number of new viruses/trojans/worms and variants of old ones in the thousands every month.

There are free online scans which are kept updated at Panda and Housecall you can use to clean the system.

Are you using a properly configured and up-to-date software firewall and a properly configured and up-to-date SPI and NAT enabled hardware firewall router with that WIFI???

Come to think of it, do you actually have any firewall enabled???
