Script error

Is anyone else getting this error on THIS site?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An error has occured in the script on this page.

Line : 1
Char: 122
Error: The callee (server(not server application)) is not available and has disappeared; all connections are invalid. The call did not execute.

Code: 0
URL: http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/1

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A tiny popup comes up down the bottom and I can't read what it says, or make it bigger.

I have disabled script debugging in the internet options and I have deselected 'Display a notification about every script error'.

Can anyone help me to get rid of this very annoying error, as it comes up everytime I refresh or look at different pages on the site.

Thanks in advance.

start with the basics, spyware scan
http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10...age&tag=button

then a online virus scan
http://www.pandasoftware.com/actives..._principal.htm

if those are clean can you list programs you may have that might be a factor, firewall, anti virus, pop-up blockers.....

I was having trouble updating adaware, but I found out that you can get the definitions of the site, so I updated and it found - winad, a program. That has now gone and my problem is solved.

Thanks for your help.

Update

I was wrong the message still come sup after removing all ad-ware on newest updates.

I couldn't complete the online virus checker because of the multiple security systems in place in my company.

I have run a local up to date virus checker and nothing was found.

I am using ad watch as a popup and ad ware blocker.

As I said the company has many firewalls and security systems in place, but this site always worked fine about a week ago.

Angry IE Script Error

I get a similar script error: When I try to print from Internet Explorer I get:

"An error has occurred in the script on this page."

Line: 228
Char: 1
Error: Interface not registered
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

I am pulling my hair out on this one. Can anyone help. Going to Tools/Internet/Options/Advanced and turning off script debugging does not help. Still get the same error.

Help!

The difference is that the error you are getting is locally. Therefore I would try re-installing internet explorer.

Thats just a guess maybe someone else maybe able to give you better info.

Try replacing that same file from the winxp cd (if you can find it) and put it in the same directory as the old one. A virus or trojan may have damaged it.
