Quick Launch Taskbar

Hey there.

Currently I have a bit of a problem involving my Quick Launch Taskbar. To be blunt, it won't appear. Here's my current info.

I'm currently running Windows XP Professional 2002, and just recently I removed most, if not all of the spyware from my computer. It took alot of work but it's finally done. Afterwards, I also got rid of programs such as WinMX as well as others that I really didn't need for work. Now, following this, I noticed that my Quick Launch Taskbar was no longer there. Whenever I go to the taskbar properties and click on "show quicklaunch taskbar" and hit apply, nothing appears. The computer thinks for a moment but that's about it. Then, if I click OK or I close the properties window and then re-open it, the option is de-selected, as though it has reset itself.

At the moment, in terms of anti-virus and spyware programs, I have Norton Antivirus and Adaware 6.

If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!

Check and make sure your quick launch folder is there

%Appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

If it isn't click start \ run
type in IE4UINIT.EXE and click enter it will recreate the folder

If it is there
Click Start \ Run and type in
REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL
click enter

Click Start \ Run and type in
REGSVR32 /i BROWSEUI.DLL
click enter

Restart windows and enable quick launch
