Windows Media Player 10 Problem

Hi all. I've been having a problem lately when I try and view subtitles/closecaptioning. When watching a media file like .avi. I click to turn captioning on and nothing ever happens. Even though my language settings are correct. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for responding. But I've already tried the microsoft fix, and still nothing happens. I know that the problem could be captioning is not available. And if thats the case is there a way I can find or create the right subtitles needed?
