"Explorer.exe" is not Internet Explorer....that's "iexplore.exe."

Explorer.exe refers to Windows Explorer, a core component of the operating system.

I can find nothing about "vid.dll," which is cited in error message. That often means it's the result of spyware or a virus.

Have you done a complete system scan with an up-to-date anti virus program and have you scanned for and removed spyware recently? If not, try that and see if the error is eliminated.

Divx.dll has to do with a Windows Media Player codec. To try the simplest thing first, uninstall and reinstall it: Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Add/Remove Windows Component (left-hand column). Scroll down to and uncheck Windows Media Player, click OK. Then go back and re-check it and let Windows reinstall it.
