Win Xp home unable to view shared folders

Using 2x win xp pcs, one called "server" the other "slave" I am unable to view the shared folders of slave from server, but I can view all shared folders, printers and use the internet from slave to server. The slave is using dhcp and server static ip addresses. All settings for shared folders seem okay, but the slave is inaccessable, even after running the network setup wizard on both pcs.
Service pack 2 is installed on server but not on slave and firewall settings are disabled.

Any help?

Well.... I am trying to think.

Can you search for the computer by using the Search, Win+S ? What workgroup/domain are they in? Are they in the same? Are the subnet Mask the same?

Yes, can search for the slave, but when trying to access it comes up unavailable. They are both on same workgroup, and both can be pinged, master is set to static and slave to dhcp, both with same subnet mask.
Both are running Norton AntiVirus 2003 if that is of any help.

Do you have SP2? If you do the firewall may be blocking you. Try turning off the firewall and see if you can access it then.

Well!I had the same kind of problem.I am using sp2.Initially I thought that windows firewall had been preventing me from viewing the network shared folders. But actually it was that of zone alarm;then I turned the zone alarm firewall from highest to medium and of course it worked
