Meaning go to start l Run l type in the computer name (\\computername\c$) is there anyway i can access the recycle bin that way? like maybe a command line i can typ in or something..

Well if you are controling the computer remotely, in the Root drive you should see a folder System Volume Infomation. The recycle bin is found in this folder. There are some sub-folders this are some of the older verisons of the Recycle Bins.

You can also do this on Local machines but, but in Home Edition you have to boot into Safe Mode to give yourself permissions. In Pro just set the permission to see this folder and access it. But if you are doing it remotely you should auto have the permissions to the folder.

Hope this helps!

So in the root folder. I am running XP Pro with Active directory on all my machines.. The problem im having is ill delete an "all users" icon, and they go and empty their recycle bin, and it errors out, and wont let them delete it. Let me ask you this... if I "web" into a computer amd delete something, were does it go. Their recycle bin, or out into cyber space? I always wanted to know that

Thanks for the help!

Well I haven't deleted anything in a long time, While I was remote Deskop. But I am pretty sure, if I can remember right.... That once you delete something, it goes to the Recycle Bin then deletes it self automatically.

What are the errors you're getting when you are tring to delete it?

The error i amgetting on the specific user is access denied. When you say remote desktop, your not talking about an RDP are you? your talking about the \\computername\c$ way right? cause its easy in an RDP.
