Cannot find EULA

Well... I found a way around the file too big for memory, it turns out that the lates SP2 will not install on a PC with a beta SP2 version.

so here I am after so many hours of trying different things... and finally when I thought i was done... another error:

while running the SP2 patch it gives me this error:

set up cannot find the end licensing agreement (eulA)

I thought that it would go to the registry and check for the serial number of the OS....

any ideas anyone?

The EULA is a plain text file (EULA.TXT) and lives in C:\i386

SP2 doesn't check for 'bad' serial numbers. Microsoft decided security was too important to exclude 'dodgy' copies of XP.

If you have the XP CD you should be able to copy the EULA across to C:\i386. Failing that, try creating a 'dummy' EULA.TXT. SP2 setup might only be looking for the filename, not the contents of it. Worth a try.
