Serial number help?

Hi,

about a week ago i restarted my computer and got this message:

NTLDR is missing.

and i was not able to log on to my computer, so i used linux to retrieve my files and am then attempted to reinstal XP alltogether.

Well i realized i had lost my the sticker with my XP cd's serial on it. I have the CD, the manual, and some other directions that came with the XP package.
Is there someone at microsoft i can contact to get a new serial number? I really dont want to have to pay for another Windows XP package i just want a serial number!

Thanks for your help!!

If you mean your product key, you can right click on my computer and select properties. It will be half way down the info.

Sorry Vidster but that is not the serial he needs.

Griifin have you still got your XP installed on the drive or have you already formatted the hard drive and XP is now gone?

Do you have your end licence users agreement when you bought your windows XP?

If you can prove that your copy is legal, Microsoft will give you a new number. There are certain requirements they need but unfortunatley i can't find the correct website at the moment.

I have the CD, manual, some tips a tricks packet, and a paper about printing features in windows XP.

I didnt buy the full box version, they gave me one with just the CD, manual, and a couple other things. It was $150 instead of the $250 when i bought it...

on the back of the manual theres a part number and few others, do they mean anything

Anything i can do with all that?
