Annoying message needs to go

I recently tried to upgrade my scanner drivers. After giving up - due to frustrations and old scanner I removed the scanner software. I now consistantly get this pop up window that says the following:

"HP PrecisionScan LT Setup"

"This program updates your HP Scanniing Software. You may see a message about 'Digital Signature Not Found'. You must click 'Yes' for the update to install correctly."

OK

I made sure that all the HP software was removed via "Add/Remove" Programs. When you click OK to the message nothing happens.

I just want to get rid of the message.

Please help.

Jack

This happens when you first turn on your computer yes?

Click on 'run' from the start menu, then type in 'msconfig' without the quotes.

If you then click on the 'startup' tab and deselect the entry called HP Setup or something similar, or anything to do with a HP scanner really.

Click 'apply' and 'ok' then restart your computer.

Hope this helps.
