download.trojan

Hi all,

New to the forum and looking for some help already!

I managed to get a virus called download.trojan, norton AV managed to pick it up but could not repair it but gave me the option of deleting it. Now every time my pc boots up i get two error messages straight after each other:

1. "Windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\sysint16.exe, make sure you typed the name correctly and try again. To search for a file click the start button and then click search"

2. "Could not load or run c:\windows\system32\sysint16.exe specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry"

Now I will be honest and admit I aint the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to my PC! I know how to bring up the registry (type regedit in the run menu) but I cant seem to find anything relating to sysint16.exe. I found a folder called system32 but there was no sysint16.exe in it. Even search doesnt bring up any files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to your run command and type MSCONFIG. This should load up a little dialog box then click Startup. See if you can find anything realting to this, or a program that may. Keep me posted!
