when u do a fresh install of winXP, it will automatically install the necassary drivers. if not, it will more than likely detect the model of the modem, so lets say the model is 'lucentb3' then you would go to the modem site and look for 'lucentb2' drivers....note*i dont think thats a real model, lol

hope this helped

i had to redo a computer too..so tihs is exactly what i did. i took the modem out of an old computer, put it in the new computer, then installed windows, im not sure if windows found the right drivers or not, but if not, use another computer to connect to the internet and download the drivers, then instal the drivers . thats what i did
visit my website please..im getting down in the dump..lol

yes that is a good point,
you cannot connect if the modem isnt working, therefore you need 2 computers, and can download from he manufactures website

the laptop doesnt have a cd burner or doesnt have a cdrw drive? does it ONLY have a floppy drive?...if it only has a floppy drive..right click the flopp drive icon in 'my computer' and press format (make sure the floppy is in the drive first)
