XP - CDrom trouble.

Hi, first post. This has probably been answered before, though i could search because "rom" is under 4 characters, so sorry to bother you guys.

I recently upgraded to Windows XP Professional. I was previously running Windows 2000 Professional. When i installed XP and rebooted up it shows that i still have both 2000 and XP on the same hardrive. Im currently using 2000 a.t.m. In 2000, both my CD drives work fine and show up in BIOS etc, though in XP, they dont work, are not recognized(dont show up) in My Computer. I check the Device managers and they drives are there with yellow and black exclamtion marks. Ive tried upgrading/re installing the Cd rom drives + drivers, click troubleshoot (nothing happens), Using that registry tweak - where you delete upper and lower filters (only lower filters existed, deleted that and it didnt work).

Tried unplugging it and things - the code in the device manager is a CODE 39.

Im almost out of ideas...

My drives are an Iomega CD-RW, and a compaq cd rom my PC is a Pentium 3.

Again, sorry to bother you! and please help...
Thank you.

If you have xp and 2000 on one drive, I suggest doing a clean install of Windows XP.

If you boot from the XP CD, you can format the drive in NTFS and then install only XP.
