bandwidth

I have a cable modem and windows xp. For some reason lately when I run task manager every processon the list is running using memory. Even when I have no programs at all going on at the time. My bandwidth on my computer has decreased a fairly large amount. Anyone know how I can fix this?

use cacheman xp to max your ram,
then turn off your uneeded services, there are lots,
this website
www.blackviper.com is very helpful in what you dont need
