Autoplay in Win XP stopped working

Autoplay in Windows XP just stopped working today but yesterday it was fine. So weird because I hadn't done anything, no registry changes, nothing. I have SP1 installed do you think it might work to install SP2 ? I have Windows Xp pro with Sp1 installed for quite a few months and now it just stops working.

I have done everything I can think of to fix this. I have checked the registry and the registry settings look ok. This is happening to my CD-ROM and Daemon Tools (Virtual drive). When I insert a CD to my CD-ROM or when I mount a image in daemon tools, the name in My Computer doesn't change like it should and autoplay doesn't fire up.

Has anyone had any similar problems?

thanks in advance

Dl and install Tweak UI version 2.10.0.0 and adjust the settings accordingly, under My Computer > AutoPlay.
