Question Sound not working at all on computer...

For those of you who don't know, I have got a brother who is a pain the the arse!

I have just managed to lock him off the computer.... (see post below)

http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com...threadid=15048

....but before I set the bios password he has done something to the sound. I have tried Media Player, and gone to music websites and nothing is working.

I have checked all the volume controls in accessoires, and the connection between computer and speakers but that all appears to be working except for there is no sound.

Is it possible that he has done something in the registry?

Emma.

Its all right...I ave found the problem.

The GIT has cut the cable!

I suppose I am just going to have to get one of those lock up pc cases.

Thanks to all the posts on my previous questions....you have been very helpfull!

Just out of interest though....can the sound properties be edited in the registy to stop them working?

With all due respect Emma, you really are going to have to resolve this 'brother' situation, otherwise, all hell is going to break loose eventually.

What I suggest you do, is to cut his bloody hands off!! That will cure it!

Seriously though, ensure that the puter is housed in your bedroom, for example, and then put a secure lock on the door....He can always cut the cabling to the rear of the box, if he is that vile....

Cuts his hands off........that sounds a good idea...but knowing my bro he'd probably learn to type with his toes...just to be cocky

I agree that we should ressolve our differences (as I have tried on many occasions) but the problem is he is too proud.

Pride is for the rich...

Just try to secure it as best as possible. The lock on the door, for example, may put your brother off. You never know.

Good luck though...............

speedking5030, please start a new thread if reinstalling the sound driver doesn't work.
