Strange sounds coming from my PC

I've got some strange sounds coming out of my PC speakers ... it sounds like inteference, like when you take out some wires from your speakers which are still attached to your radio or something and it buzzes ... and a constant beeping sounds like a timer or something .... then when I type or move the mouse the inteference gets worse, and it also gets worse when a programme is opening or the PC is being used in some way ... I can play muzik ok but if the speakers are on with no muzik then I hear this inteference, i know I have the speakers set up correctly... can anyone help!?!

It's a new PC ... P4 3GHZ, 160GB HD, 1GB Memory, labtec speakers, although i don't know what sounds card it came with (how can I find this out?)

No to the microphone, not sure on the wireless network card, although I don't even know what that is! ... and no to my mobile being near it ....

I've checked and theres nothing about a wireless network card, just my ethernet card...

I had the same problem on an Emachines pc that had just come out of the box. I had to re-install the sound drivers and the problem was sorted.
