Floppy drive not refreshing contents when switching disks

....I put in a floppy disk...then it shows its contents...and later change to another floppy disk... but the contents of the first disk is seen on the seconds disk WHY? how do I disable this strange behavior. Thanks in advance!

Try refreshing Windows Explorer, F5.

F5 in windows explorer doesn't work. From the menu >View > Refresh, still doesn't work. The contents of the recently inserted disk is still in there, even if there is no disk INSERTED. What is going on, I'm totally confused.

I had the same problem about 2 years ago, I swapped my floppy drive and the new one worked.

You might aswell try getting a new drive because they are only a couple of pounds.

Failing that just 'borrow' somebody else's just to see if that is the problem.
