Folder Options

Hi,
i seem to be having a little problem with my folder settings:
What im trying to do is set the folder options so that each folder doesn't open in a new window. Now, normally you would just change this in the folder options but the problem is its already on 'open folder in same window' mode.
I think the reason for this is because something isnt set probably in the 'file typ' section. The actions i've got in the normal folder actions box are 'open', 'find' and 'explore'..I'd be very thankfull if somebody could help me with this issue.. Thank's

im not sure if this could be the problem or not...

But when your in the file types section..and you hit folder *not file folder* if your default action (the bold one) is set to explorer, i guess its possible it could cause a problem such as that..

dunno if thats the problem but..hopefully it helps :-)

In XP, when you go into Folder Options>File Types, click on Folder and then on the Advanced button, there is a box to check for "Browse in same folder."

Then over on the Advanced tab of Folder Options, there is a box for "Launch folder windows in separate process" which should be unchecked for what you want it to do.

I have my computer does open each folder in the same window. The boxes in File Types are unchecked and "Launch folder windows in separate process" is unchecked.

Dear All,

I m using Winxp SP2. Here in my system no folder options are enabling. that folder option not here in tools options. In control panel also not there. Please tell me how to see that folder options in that tools menu. In tools menu only seeing "1.Map Network Drive, 2.Dissconnect Network drive,3.Syncronize" only three options are showing. That Folder Option is not here. Please tel me the solutions.
