The Forum is about helping people, not to lecture them on ones personal views. People are doign things they probably shouldn't each and every day. Giving three and four word answers rather than explaining helps no one. Making polite suggestions along with having a way to back up your claim is always best in my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, putting another person down because they dont share the same as you is wrong, that is what prompted my respose

That for me pretty much sums it up! I'm here because I enjoy helping other people in what will mostly be considered a "polite and curtious fashion". If I believe I have a solution to ones problem, I offer it. If on occassion my advice is incorrect and I realize that afterwards, then "I apologize". If I think your playing "roulette" by deveating from the straight and narrow then I may make a mild suggestion. It's not my place (or anyone elses for that matter...IMO) to "preach", talk down, or simply reply with an arragent tone, just because someone is doing something they really shouldn't.

It really bothers me when I see posts that have a "I know all, so just do it, because I say" flavour. I see no value in that at all.

I was kinda thinking that myself. I have come to the conclusion long ago that people who go out of there way to tell you who they are or what they can do.........really aren't and can't!

That is a quote of mine from an earlier thread I posted in. I have had to task of "hiring and firing" people over the past twenty years or so and to this day that theory holds water.

......."and now back to regularily sheduled program"......anyone need help?
