Wireless Network Connection & SP2

Hi,

I have a laptop with a wireless network connection using a 3Com wireless network card. Since installing SP2 every time I power up I have to go into the network connection's properties and check the "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" check box. I can then connect.

Before installing SP2 when I powered up the 3Com software use to run automatically and connect me to the network. But SP2 seems to not allow me to use the 3Com software.

I don't mind having Windows configure the network settings but I would like to make it do it automatically as this just makes the booting up process very tedious every morning!

I would appreciate any help.

If at all possible, I would recommend removing SP2.

Service Pack 2 is notorious for causing more problems than it solves. With a properly configured Anti-Virus program and a firewall/router (like you probably have for your wireless network), you don't really need the extra "security" features that Service Pack 2 provides.
