Need Help Changing Boot Hardware

Hi all.

I am currently running Windows XP on a 73GB SCSI disk through an LSI based SCSI card.

I plan on changing the SCSI adapter to a different adapter (to add RAID funcitonality).

Becuase Windows was originally installed through the old LSI card (with those particular drivers, IRQ, resources etc.), if I simply change to a dfferent SCSI card and install the Windows disk and try to boot, I know I am going to face a range of issues rom blue screen errors to a multitude of boot problems.

The only way I can get this system going is to simply backup the stuff I need, Install the new card, and perform a new isntallation of Windows, then restore the data.

Does anyone know of a better way to do this without having to re-install?
