I work for a college. We have a wireless infastructures that the students use. There are over 15,000 students. Some are having complains about connecting to the wireless infastructure. The majority of the problems is thier settings.

Is it possible to write and executable that we can give them on a disk that will set their wireless settings on their client for them? I'm talking about 8021x, connect to preffered networks, do not use windows information to log on with, etc. these types of settings.

I work for a college with wireless infrastructures as well. So far we didn't have any problems, but I guess that's because not many people use this here at this moment - it's still in wraps.
I think it should be possible to write some script or something that the users would run on their computers and would adjust their settings to fit the desired settings of the wireless network. I'm not the expert here, though.
I know my colleagues sometimes run scripts on the college's desktop computers and it adjusts the settings of all computers with just one click - so it is possible to do what you've asked.

Have you asked any info assistance on your college about this? Maybe someone has the knowledge to make such a script.. This is as far as I can help..
